Deleting your Nuvotik VPN account
Last updated: 15 October 2026
You can delete your Nuvotik VPN account and its associated data at any time, either in the app or by email. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what is kept afterwards and why. The Service is operated by Value Brands FZE LLC.

1. Important: cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google will keep charging you until you cancel in the store. Cancel before deleting your account — see section 4 of our Subscription Terms for step-by-step instructions:
- iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Nuvotik VPN → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Nuvotik VPN → Cancel subscription.
Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
2. Delete your account in the app
- Open Nuvotik VPN and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Open Account (the person icon at the top of the home screen) → Delete account.
- Read the summary of what will be deleted.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- If your account has a password, enter it. Accounts that use only Sign in with Apple or Google do not have a password; confirming while signed in is enough.
- Tap the delete button.
Deletion starts immediately: you are signed out on all devices and your VPN access ends.
3. Delete your account by email
If you cannot use the app — for example, you no longer have a compatible device — you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email to support@nuvotik.com from the email address of your Nuvotik VPN account, with the subject "Delete my account".
- To protect you from someone else deleting your account, we verify that you control that address before acting — for example, by sending a confirmation request to the account's email address that you need to answer.
- Once verified, we delete your account in the same way as the in-app process and confirm by email.
We process verified requests without undue delay and within the time limits set by applicable law. We will not ask you for more information than we need to verify the request.
4. What happens when you delete your account
When deletion is confirmed, we:
- revoke all of your sign-in sessions, on every device;
- revoke all of your devices;
- revoke all of your VPN peers, so your WireGuard keys are removed from our VPN servers and your internal tunnel addresses are released;
- delete your account data: email address, name, language, password hash, Sign in with Apple or Google identifier, devices (including push tokens), VPN peers and keys, VPN session records, favourite servers, notifications and entitlements.
5. What is kept after deletion, and why
| Data | Why it is kept | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Payment transaction and subscription records (product, store and store transaction identifiers, subscription status and dates, price and currency where provided, refund date, and store notifications about the subscription) | Tax and accounting obligations, and handling refunds or disputes that the app stores send us after deletion. The link to your account is removed and the stored purchase token is erased, so these records are no longer associated with your email or account. | For the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. |
| Security and audit log entries (what action happened and when, its outcome, and a keyed hash of an IP address — never the raw IP and never traffic content) | Security, fraud prevention and the ability to investigate abuse. Entries may still reference the internal identifier of your former account. The IP hash is pseudonymous, not anonymous: we hold the key and could check whether it matches a known IP address. | Up to 1 year from the date each entry was created, then deleted automatically. |
| Residual copies in database backups | Backups protect the Service against data loss. They are stored on our own servers with restricted access and are not used to restore deleted accounts. We do not currently keep backup copies with another provider. | Deleted automatically 14 days after each backup is made, so your data is gone from backups at most 14 days after deletion. |
| Application log entries (no IP addresses; warning and error entries may contain the internal identifier of your former account, a device or a subscription) | Operating and troubleshooting the Service. | Kept in size-limited files and overwritten as new entries are written. |
We may also keep information where we are legally required to preserve it, for example under a valid legal hold. In that case we keep only what is required, for as long as it is required.
6. Other things you may want to do
- Sign in with Apple: you can stop using your Apple ID with Nuvotik VPN in your Apple ID settings (Sign in with Apple → Nuvotik VPN → Stop using Apple ID).
- Sign in with Google: you can remove Nuvotik VPN's access in your Google Account under third-party connections.
- Remove the VPN configuration: on iOS, deleting the app removes its VPN configuration. On Android, uninstalling the app removes it; if you enabled Always-on VPN for Nuvotik VPN, that setting is removed as well.
- Store purchase history: Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases under their own policies; we cannot delete those.
- Ad data held by Google: if you used the app without a paid subscription while ads were turned on, Google received data through the Google Mobile Ads SDK under its own policies (see section 7 of our Privacy Policy). We never gave Google your account details, so deleting your Nuvotik account does not change that data; you can manage it with Google, for example by resetting or deleting your device's advertising ID on Android. Advertising is currently turned off.
